Dear Mahatma Ghanid:
You have to help me. I’m in real heat which is very bad. It’s really desperate and you must advise me before I commit something really immoral.
I’m sort of a caretaker for my brother’s home and family. He’s a seaman and has to be away for eight months of the year. I stand in for him as the man of the family to take care of his beautiful wife and young son who is three years old.
Our roots is down south in Mindanao which is two hours by passenger jet. We both found our jobs here in Manila where I work as a bookkeeper at a freight forwarder company. Earning big as a seaman afforded him a small three bedroom home in the suburb south of the Metro. He asked me to live with him so I can look out for his wife and kid and do all the man chores around the house while he is away. Since he supported me through college and because of the free board and lodging I readily agreed.
His wife is really attractive and drives her car to work. She drops me off and picks me up in the afternoon so we could come home together. A nanny cum cook and laundrywoman takes care of the young boy until we get back in the early evening and then she’s off to go home to report back the next morning.
My brother should thank his lucky stars I’m always around to shoo off the wolves who tail his wife every now and then because she is so foxy. My sister-in-law laments that I’m more jealous than her own husband.
Problem started when I began to notice her creamy white thighs every time she’d wear a mini skirt to work and I had to sit by her side in the car. She also loves to wear shorts around the house especially during weekends and I’m getting beset with a perennial hard on.

I thought it was only me who’s getting tempted but the long periods of separation from the husband, my brother has sort of made her flirty inside the house. She is four years older and my tight vigilance against romantic interlopers on behalf of my older brother has made her turn to me as somebody handy and convenient.
I’ve dated a few girls but have not had the chance to find a steady lover. All the women I’ve met so far don’t have the same titillating white thighs as my sister-in-law. I think she knows I’m hooked by them so she purposely wears shorts in the evenings while we are watching TV. There was a time I hugged her close in the sofa because we were watching a horror flick. I nearly blew it there and then from her smell and the softness of her body. I ran to my bedroom in the grip of restrained passion dying to burst out. When I stepped back out she stared at me with a meaningful look and said the baby was safely asleep. I ran back to the room and locked myself in and covered my head with the pillow.

Off the cuff, you can’t fact the wife of your brother, that’s a given no, no.
But you can’t abandon that household and leave the woman and the kid to fend for themselves what with all the hyenas baying at the distance waiting for the first opportunity.
Maybe you should confess to your brother that she’s giving you a hell of a hard on which you are trying to quell by thinking of all your love as brothers. Maybe he can send for somebody else to stay with them from the family circle in Mindanao preferably a female relative. Or maybe her own close kin from her side of the family can take over before something explosive happens between you two.
Maybe, you can take a chance and ask your brother for permission, just for a night or two. No, forget I even said that. Erase, erase.
Be careful what you disclose to your brother. Don’t get them fighting because you hinted that she’s seducing you. Make sure she comes out clean in this imbroglio.
Pray to the Almighty God The Father In Heaven, the Abba Krishna, to help you and guide you. Maybe you can ask to Him to suddenly make you impotent or gay. Or maybe not.
Why don’t you write to Dear Abby, maybe she can give you a sane answer?
