DOG EAT DOG WORLD

Kat Pineda is the most affecting humorist I've met in a long time. But Kat, help me out here. I don't get the punchline yet. When you say your dog food sucks, does it betray your dalliances or indiscretions with the food or the dog? Or maybe like the Chinese of the South, could you have roasted your mutt and found the flavors rendered by its diet of a lifetime somewhat unappetizing? The use of explicit language like suck in juxtaposition with words like dog and food, is it a fiendish attempt to send a subliminal message bordering on erotica from the forbidden? Since I've digressed this far, why don't I as well inhibit you from partaking of low quality animal feed lest you belatedly realize that the animal itself roils your appetite because it begins to seem more succulent.

CANDY AND NOEL

I always wondered what the Good Lord Jesus Christ meant when He said we should be like children to enter the kingdom of heaven. Surely, He can't mean bratty and whimsical. Up until in 2007, when I met Candy. She was a special child and at the advanced age of 34, her fully matured body was boiling over like a cauldron of emotions that sought fulfillment. She took hold of these reverberations and effectively channeled them to the giving of herself in love and service to others. I certainly can't hope to be a better person or a more faithful Christian than that. Never ever.

Except for Noel, he praises the Lord in word and deed every day in addition to a life dedicated in the service of his fellow men. But that's another story _ _ _ _

MALOU'S EULOGY

A good tree bears good fruit. Our sister Lerida lived this adage fully and played her part faithfully to propagate this tenet onto MJ, Mitch, Ria, and Jenny. In life she shone forth with the best example of faithfulness and charity to give testimony to the Word of the Lord and to epitomize the values inculcated in her by her own parents and the family lineage with which she drew closeness and undivided affinity. In death, she once more draws the family into one whole. As a union of solidarity, of harmony, of bonding, and of love. A sharing of joys and a fortitude against vicissitudes and ill will and a steadfastness to work decisively and sacrifice for the success of the children and the future to come. We bid you farewell dear sister Lerida as you trek the first steps to the unknown territory of everlasting life for this family. We are one with you in prayer and wish that you find unlimited joy in the Glorious Presence of the Holy God Almighty. The love you gave comes back to you a thousandfold in the grace and blessings of the Lord in a life of eternity and a peace of mind that will come from the assurance that your progeny and the family you left behind will continue to thrive under the Grace and Guidance of the Almighty Father God..

A good tree is resplendent with beauty. Your life and measure was a shining example of such. The beauty from outside bespoke of the best genes that could be marshaled from the recesses of the family tree and your beauty and goodness from inside showed the commitment and the obedience that marked the religious fiber and fervor of our family's tradition to faithfully adhere every step of the way to the truth, and follow a life in the footsteps of the Lord.

A good tree bends with the whipping of the wind. This is the hallmark with which you carried your affliction in the face of the family. By showing strength, you carried us past our own fears and hesitations. By showing quiet suffering, you taught us to bear our own crosses. By reflecting love in the grip of pain and misery, you taught us about the meaning of the Suffering at Calvary. By dying you inevitably give us our new freedom to live life resolutely with a determination to do good and attain what is good for ourselves and our fellow men. We love you and we will always remember the paths and the byways you crossed in our lives.
